Who may use it

BIR officers invited by the administrator, on a BIR-issued computer, and on real taxpayer data only once the BIR has approved the app through its Information Systems Group and Data Protection Officer (BIR Data Privacy Manual, RMO 1-2020; NPC Circular 2023-06).

What this site records about you: your name and email (to send the invitation), when your code was used, a random install number, a scrambled fingerprint of the computer and its name - to know which invitation activated which copy. Nothing about any taxpayer or docket ever reaches it. Questions or a request to delete your record: write to the administrator who invited you.

To get started
  1. You need an invitation: an email with a one-time activation code. Ask the administrator if you have not received one.
  2. Install Node.js version 24 (the Windows Installer) once, accepting the defaults.
  3. Right-click the downloaded zip, choose Extract All, delete the suggested place and type C:\, then press Extract. The app lands in C:\EstateTaxPH. Not in Documents or on the Desktop: on Windows 11 those are usually OneDrive, which would upload your dockets to the internet. The app refuses to start from a synced folder.
  4. Open C:\EstateTaxPH and double-click Start Estate Tax.bat. If Windows warns that it protected your PC, click More info then Run anyway; if it says the publisher could not be verified, click Run.
  5. Enter your activation code, choose a username and password, and write down the recovery code the app shows you.

Updating: close the app, then extract the new zip to C:\ the same way and choose Replace the files in the destination. Your dockets, in C:\EstateTaxPH\data, are not in the zip and are not touched.
